As soon as we arrived at Rock Farm we didn't want to leave. If you're a nature / wildlife lover this place is heaven.

Our room was absolutely spotless with a comfortable bed, strong hot shower and tea and coffee making facilities. Jerry and Nikki were fantastic hosts. Jerry showed us around the local area on the first day and a swim in the river to cool off after was perfect. The meals we ate were delicious.

The work they do, saving birds from all over Belize is something else. Not to mention that while eating breakfast you will see wild parrots and toucans coming for their breakfast too! We left feeling spoiled and with a lot more knowledge about birds and Belize in genera

I originally booked the Hummingbird Room for two nights then extended for a third -- that says something right there! From the get go both Nikki & Jerry were fabulous: super responsive to my messages; made a pick up (& later drop off) in Belmopan easy; extremely welcoming & wanting to make sure that I had everything I needed; very informative about Belize & the area; they provide great itinerary suggestions in the information notebook in the room...I could go on and on. I had delicious dinners all three nights there as well! I spent lots of time on the large balcony having coffee and enjoying the birds, but also loved wandering the gorgeous grounds and touring the Bird Rescue which is in & around the same building (which is also their home). What they've done in building up the bird rescue program is fascinating & impressive; your stay even helps further that mission. I was worried that having the birds right there might mean that I'd be up earlier in the morning than I might have preferred, and honestly I did use ear plugs which I don't normally do, but I (accidentally!) slept in later than I have in any other accommodations this trip! Internet was good, coffee/tea/purified water provided, desk in the room made it easy to work when needed (although I preferred the porch, despite--or better said perhaps because of!--the distractions of Mother Nature, including of course lots of birds!)....overall a perfect place to stay. Thank you, Nikki & Jerry!

I would 100 percent recommend a stay at Rock Farm with Belize Bird Rescue. Jerry and Nikki were wonderful hosts. Nikki is an amazing lady. We spent a lot of time together on different adventures and it is apparent that anyone who knows her has great respect for what she is doing for the birds. So I will summarize highlights as best I can. Nikki picked me up from the airport and we went directly to pick up the vet and went to the Belize Zoo where she needed to draw labs on a pelican. I was upgraded to the Toucan Room which I have to say made all the difference. Every morning before the parrots woke up I would sit in my pajamas with a cup of coffee waiting for the sunrise. I also was greeted every day with parrot guests who would join me. I was able to watch the release of a yellow winged tanager who came back to visit frequently. Nikki let me release a pygmy owl which she tried to get a video but it was so fast we did not see it go. Nikki and I also went to the ruins one day, Belize Zoo and Iguana rescue another, and one of my favorite days a ferry to one of the islands, saw the coral reef with a small group, and brought back an injured American coot with us. Jerry was an excellent cook and made us fabulous vegetarian meals every day. Went grocery shopping and to the markets, and chocolate making, and lovely gift shops. Also took a hike to the blue hole. Enjoyed also just being at the farm with the birds, chickens, dogs, and some other nice people, and eating citrus right off the trees. I did help with food preparation in the morning and spending time socializing with Mary Kate (white front)to help prepare her for adoption, she stole my heart for sure. All in all a perfect trip. I will definitely go back and consider Nikki and Jerry not just perfect hosts, but friends. Carol, I am grateful to you for recommending this haven! I will send another email with pics...

I stayed here for a few nights recently on my way from Guatemala to Belize City. Although this place is close to the town of Belmopan it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere when you are on the property. It is quiet, the landscaping is amazing, and you have your own personal River to swim in which is crystal clear. It was also a great spot for birding and waking up and going to sleep to the natural sounds of nature. The place was also really clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to this area.
